Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress as well as a performer. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier who was a nurse and Tom Bell - a television director. She is an American actor and singer. She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's passion for acting was discovered at a very young age. She went to her audition in 1992 and got the role of Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell was appointed by her mom to become an agent when she was only 13 years old. Bell was later chosen for the newspaper advertisements and commercials for TV. Also, Bell began taking private acting classes. Bell played a brief, uncredited part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school and she took home the role of Dorothy. Bell was then transferred in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell quit university in 2001 to take on the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her first credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. But the scene she played was removed from the film, and she only appears in the credits. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in The Crucible Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
